Volunteers are Richly Blessed!!

A few weeks back I met up with Penny (the lovely lady standing in the corner), a colleague of mine from West Herts College. While we were chatting over tea and cakes (!) I found that she volunteers once a week at a day centre nearby. I had run some craft workshops there several years ago and remembering how rewarding it was and how much it was appreciated, I offered to come and do a little jewellery workshop, which took place this week!

My friend Jay and I volunteered because we wanted to do something nice for others but came away having had great fun and feeling so blessed! We both feel inspired to make more opportunities to share our time and creative crafting in our communities and hope this might inspire others to do the same!

I took my famous ‘bead soup’ (beads of differing shapes and sizes all mixed up in colour assortments) and memory wire and 6 gorgeous ladies spent about an hour or so, picking through the beads in the colours of their choice and stringing them on to create fabulous and totally unique bracelets.
