Make Your Own Chain

I can’t put down the latest new kit sent to me from Bijoux by Me!  It is stuffed full of solid chain links and link connectors which I have been using with different variations of beads to make gorgeous necklaces!  The glass cube beads from an assortment of glass beads in a variety of sizes, shapes and shades of blue work so well with the square chain links.

The chain making kit and glass bead assortments are both from Bijoux by Me (www.bijouxbyme.co.uk).

Summer Floral Bracelet

Last class at West Herts – I am going to so miss you all!  Here is a little reminder of our week 8 – crocheted bracelets!  The soft but clear ‘sorbet’ shades of colour blend to make a very pretty bracelet.

Beads from The Beadery – available at HobbyCraft!

Multi-strand Natural Wood and Bone Necklace

Have been doing a lot of work with wood and bone and I really like the contrast of black and browns with ivory.  Silver metallic e-beads add just the tiniest bit of sparkle to brighten the design.  This was one of the necklaces I made for my college class, when they made multi-strand necklaces.  Just need to buy a new top to go with it!!

Bling up a Pearl Necklace

Just home from a great workshop with lots of fun and talented people (women and men!!).  Our beginners master class in London was fantastic – you all did fabulous!!

Here is an idea of another way you can use the lovely blingy glitter beads so popular in the Shamballa bracelets!  They add a sparkling dimension to this pearl necklace!

Ethnic Wireform Cuff

Just had an amazing day in the Cotswolds.  The weather was gorgeous – lovely and sunny but cool enough to have a nice walk – and a little climb!

Today I want to share with you this freeform wire cuff embellished with wood beads.  The hint of orange adds interest and depth.  Beads from the Creative Style Collect by Solid Oak, available at HobbyCraft stores.

Gorgeous Green Beads

What an amazing college class I have – the people, I mean!  They worked so hard at making crocheted bracelets – similar to mine here.  I get so excited when I see the different ways they use colour and create texture!  Well done all.  Next Tuesday is the last day for this term and I am going to miss them so much over the summer!  What will I do on Tuesdays??!!

The Autumn term at West Herts starts on 25 September so anyone planning to join needs to book as soon as possible as this course fills up very quickly!

These gorgeous glass beads were supplied by Bijoux by Me (www.bijouxbyme.co.uk).  They have several glass bead assortments which I love because they offer a selection of different shades, sizes and shapes of bead that work so well with the way I like to create jewellery! Wire from Beadalon.

Seaside Cuff Bracelet

Despite the crazy weather, I am dreaming of collecting shells and sea glass while on a seaside holiday with sandy beaches and aquamarine waters! This free form wired cuff mixes shells and faceted crystals in mother-of-pearl with hints of coral.

Crochet a Bracelet

We had an amazing group of people at our workshop in London yesterday!  I am always so impressed by the variety of original creations that a class of beginners produces.

Tuesday my college class is going to be crocheting beads and wire to create a bracelet.  Here is a sample of one I made last week as I was preparing. I added this eyelash yarn to the mix to give it an interesting dimension.

The shiny silver metallised beads are from Bijoux by Me (www.bijouxbyme.co.uk).
