Right angle bugle weave

I love creating with the right angle weave so was experimenting with bugle beads and seed beads and came up with this bracelet of delicate squares.  It adds interest and a different texture, especially when worn with several other bracelets, as is the current fashion!

The open space gives it a boxy look. Seeing how different it can look using different types of beads has made me want to try all sorts of other beads, big, small, skinny and fat!!

The seed beads are needed in order to cover the thread as it passes from one bugle bead to the other.

Floating Lampwork

Black and white continues to hold its own in the current fashion trends.  Use this simple design which floats gorgeous flat lampwork discs as focal points between silver seed beads and black twist beads (all materials supplied by Bijoux by Me) to brighten up many an outfit and it is so quick and easy to make.  Perfect for that special Christmas gift!

More Christmas Bling!

Another design idea that can be used for Christmas tree decorations.  I found that if I made them in sets of 6, I can easily finish 6 while watching an evening of tellie with the family!

I mixed emerald, peridot and crystal AB 4mm faceted bicones on gold coloured wire (wire from Bijoux by Me,  bicones from Swarovski)

I wrapped bicones on either side of the outline as well as between loops stretching across the central expanse.

Christmas Sparkle for the Tree!

Tomorrow’s class will be making spider’s web pendants that make gorgeous Christmas tree decorations.  Below is just one example – I will show more designs over the days to come – hopefully on a tree to show just how fab they are!

1.0 or .8mm wire is used to make the shape and .3mm wire for creating the wire web and attaching beads.

Fancy findings!

These are just one of the earring and pendant designs I put together using the Earring Findings kit by Bijoux by Me.  It took less than 30 minutes to make a full set using their glass pearls and Chain & Findings kit.  Perfect for Christmas gifts!!

Glass pearls come in 4 mixed assortments, Blossom (pink), Cappuccino (brown/cream), Charcoal (grey & black) and Pure (white & cream).  I used the Charcoal and attached it to one of the 4 silver chains in the Chain & Findings kit also by Bijoux by Me.

The Earring findings kit includes 6 designs of decorative earring findings along with the ear wires, head and eye pins needed.  All you need for the earrings is to add the beads.

Luscious pearls!

Spent the day wandering around London – checking out the fashion jewellery on offer.  Pearls are everywhere and that suits me – I love them!  They are used on their own, from pearl strand necklaces to being part of a creation that has crystals or lampwork, or glass or any combination of other beads.
Pearls are such a good staple to have in your bead stash – I have often found they are just what is needed to lift a design and make some thing ‘nice’ become ‘really special’!!
The addition of a cluster of pearls adds a little interest to this beautiful shell pendant.  The pearl actually on the shell hides where the bail is attached.  Pearls, chain and pendant by Bijoux by Me (www.bijouxbyme.co.uk).

The two shades of pearls on the chain changes this interesting shell pendant into a stunning necklace.  Pearls, chain and pendant by Bijoux by Me (www.bijouxbyme.co.uk).

Badge Holder Bling!

So many of us have to wear badges for our jobs or various events.  Why not have a badge holder to make you stand out from the crowd?!  And imagine how grateful your friends or family who have to wear badges will be to have a uniquely created badge holder, made by you!!!

Badge holders can be made of all sorts of things – chain, bead links, etc.  Here we have used waxed cotton cord.

This is just one type of badge holder finding – you could also use a large lobster clasp.

Knots hold the beads in place – floating them on the cord!
